1.Entering P.R.China

You can take flight to any of the following international airport of China

• Nanjing Lukou International Airport (15km from Nanjing City, recommended)

• Shanghai Pudong International Airport (30 km from Shanghai City, recommended)

• Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (10 km from Shanghai City, recommended)

• Beijing Capital International Airport (20 km from Beijing City, recommended)

• Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport(28 km from Guangzhou City)

2.From Arrival Airport to Nanjing City

• Shanghai Pudong International Airport
Choice 1: the 5th airport expressway -> the Shanghai railway station -> the Nanjing railway station (recommended)
Choice 2: taxi -> the Shanghai railway station -> the Nanjing railway station

• Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport
Choice 1: taxi -> the Shanghai railway station -> the Nanjing railway station (recommended)
Choice 2: the 941th bus -> the Shanghai railway station -> the Nanjing railway station

There are many trains from Shanghai to Nanjing, about one per 30 minutes if you don't care comfortableness. The fastest train will take about 2 hours 5 minutes from Shanghai to Nanjing, the slowest will take about 7 hours, and most trains will take about 2 to 3.5 hours. The tickets are about 45-112RMB, depending on the type of the train and the rank of the seat. Better trains are named as "Dxxx" or "Txxx" ("xxx" is a number"), and better seats are named as "soft seat" (some trains even have "1st class soft seat" and "2nd class soft seat").

How to get to Nanjing Hotel

1) If you arrive at Nanjing Lukou Airport:

 

You can take the Airport Bus No.2 (9:30 am - 10:00 pm) to the last station (Guofang Yuan Station) . It takes about 55 minutes and costs 20 yuan (RMB). Then you can take a taxi from Guofang Yuan Station to Nanjing Hotel, it takes about 12 minutes and costs about 12 yuan (RMB).

If you arrive at Nanjing Lukou Airport after 10:00 pm,you can take the Airport Bus No.1 to the last station (Nanjing Railway Station). It takes about an hour and costs 20 yuan (RMB).Then you can take a taxi from Nanjing Railway Station to Nanjing Hotel, it takes about 15 minutes and costs about 15 yuan (RMB).

You can also take a taxi from the airport to Nanjing Hotel. It takes about 40 minutes and costs about 150 yuan (RMB).

 

2) If you arrive at Nanjing Railway Station:

You can take a taxi from Nanjing Railway Station to Nanjing Hotel. It takes about 15 minutes and costs about 15 yuan (RMB).
